DISMISSED WORKERS DECLARES PARTIAL GAINS By: Owen S. Bayog


BOLMSHEU PRESIDENT - Roberto Villarin told members of the media in a pressconfab yesterday about their struggles since the lost their jobs due to union busting and their gains on a recent case of dismissed workers who had been ordered reinstatement by the National Conciliation and Mediation Board (MCMB).


PRESSCONFAB - Wokers of the Bacolod Our Lady of Mercy Specialty Hospital discussed the 26 page decision of the National Conciliation and Mediation Board that it has established by clear evidence that the management of the hospital has illegally terminated workers of the hospital.


KMU NEGROS - Spokesperson, Ronald Ian Evidente told members of the press that their group will file a writ of execution if in case the management of the hospital does not reinstate the 13 dismissed workers 10 days after the MCMB decision had been received.


ASELO ADENIA - almost in tears at the press conference while he told members of the media about his plight along with dismissed workers who is now ordered to be reinstated within days upon receiving the National Conciliation and Mediation Board Voluntary Arbiter's decision.


RONALD IAN EVIDENTE - of Kilusang Mayo Uno says the initial gains of the workers is based on their unity and action. Moreover, Evidente stressed out that they are working on the case of the 31 employees who had been dismissed last January by the hospital management of Bacolod Our Lady of Mercy Specialty Hospital.


JUNEL ABRASIA, RN - came to the press conference in support of the workers who is due to go back to work and told members of the media that these are worthy workers when it come to work and service.
