Apple has more cash than the federal government [A Blog Repost]

Who's ready for iAmerica?
As the BBC has reported, the software company Apple has more cash on hand than the United States federal government, according to the company's financial records.
Apple's quarterly financial report shows that the company responsible for the iPad, iPod and the iPhone now has $76.4 billion in reserve cash, while the Treasury Department is sitting on just $73.7 billion.
The feds could probably learn a thing or two from Apple's success. Congress remains embroiled in a debate over spending and whether the federal government, which currently owes trillions in debt, should be allowed to borrow even more. International credit rating agencies have threatened to downgrade the national debt for the first time in the nation's history if Washington doesn't come up with a solution to lift the $14.3 trillion debt ceiling while implementing a concrete plan to get the nation's financial house in order.
Meanwhile, Apple's financial report shows that the company's profits, even through the last recession, are booming.

THE PEOPLE'S SONA By: Owen S. Bayog

PNOY AND GMA: JUST THE SAME – BAYAN
 By: Owen S. Bayog

Bagong Alyansang Makabayan-Negros (BAYAN-NEGROS) held a “People’s State of the Nation Address” along Araneta Street yesterday afternoon to slam the present Aquino administration.  Militants gathered and braved the rain showers for the protest action which was participated by various sectoral organizations and present the “People’s Agenda” and call on to the people to push for the legitimate issues such as Joblessness, Land and Rights.

Ronald Ian Evidente of Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU) slams the Aquino administration for the electoral promises of President Aquino during his campaign to alleviate the condition of the workers and the people.  Evidente pointed out that instead of national legislation for the P125 wage increase – the workers got P12 raise under the present government.

The ever increasing prices of Oil and other commodities is felt and it is the people who are suffering due to the inaction of the present Government, Evidente added.

Sectoral Organizations presented their respective issues and gave the present administration of Aquino a failing grade.  Militant flashed placards which spelled “FAILURE” and burnt down an effigy of President Aquino and the United States of America symbolizing Aquino being subservient to foreign rule.

Rev. Fr. Romeo Tagud, Secretary General of the Promotion of Church People’s Response (PCPR) likened the consequence of Aquino to an ordinary student who have failing grades – “The people have spoken and united in saying that President Benigno Aqunio III failed to the serve the interest of the Filipino people”, If President Aquino continues to do so – he will be kicked out from power”, Tagud said.osb

THANK YOU TO ALL THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE POINT & SHOOT BASIC DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP [WAVE 4] by: Owen S. Bayog

12 participants joined the Point & Shoot Workshop yesterday, Wave 4 has a good mixture of photographers who are starting to get the hang of photography.  In the course of the workshop, I am so happy that things went well - participants sharing thoughts and assisting fellow participants during the photo exercises.

It was also a unique experience for me - I also learn from my participants - I gather their comments and suggestions to further improve the workshop.  By the end of the day I saw everybody improving and trying out the newly learned techniques to expose a good photograph.  Thank you!

POINT AND SHOOT WAVE 5 COMING SOON!
